Privacy Policy
Effective: January 1, 2025
1. Our Privacy Philosophy
At Ombrion, privacy is a core value, not an afterthought. We've designed our platform to minimize data collection from the ground up. Unlike many online services, Ombrion operates without user accounts, registration systems, or extensive data gathering. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to privacy and the limited data we handle.
2. Information We Collect
Ombrion's data collection is deliberately minimal:
Age Verification Status: When you confirm that you're 18 years or older, we store this confirmation in your browser's localStorage. This is a local storage mechanism that keeps data on your device only. This information never leaves your computer or device and is not transmitted to our servers. You have complete control over this data through your browser settings.
Technical Server Logs: Like virtually all websites, our servers automatically log basic technical information when you access Ombrion. This includes IP addresses, browser types, device information, timestamps, and the pages you access. This logging is standard web server functionality necessary for basic operations.
What We Don't Collect:
- Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
- Payment or financial information of any kind
- Precise location data beyond what's inherent in IP addresses
- Browsing behavior outside of Ombrion
- Social media profiles or accounts
- Demographic information
- Personal preferences or settings (beyond age verification)
3. How We Use Information
The limited technical data our servers collect is used strictly for:
- Operating and maintaining the Ombrion platform
- Diagnosing and fixing technical problems
- Detecting and preventing security threats and abuse
- Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve platform performance
- Ensuring platform stability and reliability
We do not use collected data for:
- Marketing or advertising purposes
- User profiling or tracking
- Creating individual user profiles
- Selling or renting to third parties
- Any purpose unrelated to platform operation and security
4. Data Storage and Retention
Since Ombrion doesn't use accounts or registration, we have no user profiles to store. Technical server logs are retained only as long as necessary for operational purposes, then deleted or anonymized according to our retention schedule.
Your age verification status, stored in browser localStorage, persists until you clear your browser data. This is entirely under your control and can be deleted at any time through your browser's settings.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Ombrion uses browser localStorage to remember your age verification across sessions. This is a simple local storage technology that keeps a flag on your device indicating you've completed age verification. This data never leaves your device.
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Cross-site tracking mechanisms
- Behavioral profiling tools
The localStorage entry we use is transparent and simple. You can inspect it using your browser's developer tools and delete it anytime through browser settings.
6. Third-Party Services
Ombrion operates independently without integrating third-party services that would collect data about you. We do not use:
- Third-party analytics platforms (like Google Analytics)
- Advertising networks or services
- Social media integration or sharing buttons
- Third-party payment processors
- Customer data platforms or CRM systems
- Third-party hosting of active content that could track users
The only external links on Ombrion lead to responsible gaming resources. These links are provided for informational purposes, and we have no control over or responsibility for the privacy practices of these external organizations.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Ombrion does not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with third parties for commercial purposes. Given the minimal nature of our data collection, there's essentially nothing to share.
We may disclose information only if required by law, such as in response to valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, etc.). However, the limited data we collect means such disclosures would yield minimal information.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the technical data our servers process. However, the best security practice is not collecting sensitive data in the first place, which is why Ombrion's account-free model provides inherent privacy protection.
No internet data transmission or storage system is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted to or processed by our servers.
9. Children's Privacy
Ombrion is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Our age verification system is designed to prevent access by underage individuals.
If we become aware that someone under 18 has accessed Ombrion, we will take reasonable steps to restrict future access. However, given our lack of user accounts and limited data collection, we cannot retroactively identify individual users.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Because Ombrion doesn't collect personal information or maintain user accounts, many traditional privacy rights (such as data access requests, correction requests, or account deletion) are not applicable in the usual sense.
You do have the following controls:
- Clear your age verification by deleting browser localStorage
- Stop using Ombrion at any time
- Access Ombrion through privacy-focused browsers or VPN services
- Block JavaScript (though this will prevent games from functioning)
11. International Data Transfers
Ombrion is accessible globally. If you access our platform from outside the country where our servers are located, your technical data may be processed internationally. However, the minimal nature of our data collection reduces typical concerns associated with international data transfers.
12. California Privacy Rights
If you're a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). However, since Ombrion doesn't collect personal information in the traditional sense (no names, email addresses, or accounts), most CCPA provisions don't apply to our operations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't maintain detailed profiles of individual users.
13. European Privacy Rights
If you're in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Similar to the CCPA situation, Ombrion's minimal data collection model means we don't process personal data in the way GDPR typically regulates.
The technical data our servers process (such as IP addresses) is used based on legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.
14. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make changes, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top of this page.
Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify users individually of policy changes. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed.
15. Contact Information
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please refer to our Terms of Service and Disclaimer pages for additional information about Ombrion operations.
